Great food, everything here is just amazing. Staff is incredibly kind, helpful, patient and, friendly. Refunded us because when we changed our mind on a take out order. Great drink selection. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Would come again

My brother and I deliberated over a spot to get a quick lunch at while taking in the sights in DC. Eventually, we landed on GCDC, largely in part due to the clever name. The ordering system is simple and patrons place their own orders with a tablet set up. After landing on our selections, we found a seat in the upper level area. The lighting was kind of dark but it was cozy and we were able to chit chat as we ate. I ordered the pizza melt grilled cheese with a side of mac and cheese. The grilled cheese was delicious. It had a perfect pizza taste without being overwhelmingly saucy. The mac and cheese, however, would have benefited from a bit more cheese sauce.

I ordered ahead of time since their website said there was a 25-30min wait for pick up. The store doesn't have a lot of seating but people were quickly leaving so it wasn't difficult to find a place to sit. Southwest grilled cheese: I don't even like chorizo but this changed my opinion! I would def order again Truffle: soooo buttery, fresh mushrooms, and definitely cheesy. Tomato soup is my comfort food and it lived up to my expectation. It came out hot and paired excellent with the grilled cheese. It was hard to choose what to get since their menu has so many options but we like that! I can't wait to come back to try other menu items.

Went with my family before visiting the Capitol. Great spot in DC for a quick bite! Street parking is hard to find but the walk is so beautiful, you'll enjoy the whole experience.

I stopped by a couple weeks ago on a Thursday during lunch with a friend. I liked that we could order on screens, but it would have been nice if we could look at a menu before ordering. I had to pull it up on my phone. After ordering, the service seemed pretty hectic. I went inside to pick up my order, and the employees sent me to two different places to get it. I also got an automated text before the food was actually ready, so I had to wait inside. The food was amazing, though! I had a Buffalo Blue grilled cheese and I loved the crispy bread and great flavors! This is a fun place to stop if you're a grilled cheese fan or are coming by with a friend.

Hey Travoodies Hey I don't know if you have ever tasted elevated grilled cheeses, but that's just what the Grilled Cheese Bar DC offers. Nestled downtown in a small space there packs some cheesy flavor you would love, the Grilled Cheese Bar has turned your traditional sandwich into something more. The space was small, but there was outside seating. The staff greets you, and is very engaging with the guests. It seems to be more of a self-serve type of establishment. Upon entering, you are able to place your order at the kiosk or take a seat to order from the table. It seems perfect to me because you do not have anyone hoovering you to take the order. You can just hit submit. It was such much to choose from that I did not know where to start. I finally settled on a Cubano Grilled Cheese with white bread, swiss cheese, roast pork, ham, pickles. and dijon mustard. For my side I decided on the mac & cheese. To wash it all down, I went with the homemade lemonade. Let me say, the first bite was everything that before I knew the sandwich was gone. The mac and cheese was simple and delicious. Overall it is 11 out of 10. HIGH RECOMMEND ********************************************************** DM to join my Exclusicely Foodie or Traveler Group.
